Payment by credit card
Zone Bébé chose CM-CIC p@iement for payment by credit card, because of their SSL protocol for safe transmission of data over the Internet.
Secure Socket Layer (SSL), are cryptographic protocols that provide security for communications over networks such as the Internet, a worldwide utilised protocol.
The payment by credit card is processed in several steps:
- As soon as you have finalised your shopping, choose credit card as your method of payment
- You are automatically directed to the secure* interface of CM-CIC p@iement.
You have to provide the following details in order to confirm your payment:
- your credit card number (16 digits)
- expiry date of your credit card (mm/yy)
- the 3-digit card verification code,which is typically a separate group of 3 digits to the right of the signature strip.
3-D Secure authentication
CM-CIC p@iement requests from the issuing bank of the card owner its authentication.
A transaction using Verified by Visa/SecureCode will initiate a redirect to the website of the card issuing bank to authorise the transaction. The card owner is requested to enter a password-based method to identify himself. After authorisation, a renewed redirection allows for the transaction to be finalised with CM-CIC p@iement. The payment is registered and a summary is displayed:
- amount and currency
- date
- first 6 digits of the credit card number
- authorisationcode
- Merchant id
You can return to Zone Bébé after this process.
Your personal bank data will be encrypted on your PC before being sent to CM-CIC p@iement (web browser displays a 'lock' icon somewhere in the window of the browser).
Important note: No information is sent in plain text.
Zone Bébé has no access to any justification should a transaction not be authorised by your bank. The data exchange between you and CM-CIC p@iement's server are encrypted and Zone Bébé has no access to any of the bank details.
*The icons that can be seen somewhere (mostly at the bottom) of your browser window, show whether data is encrypted and therefore transmitted safely.
Types of credit cards
Currently we only accept French credit cards. American Express is not accepted.
